Is there a home out there that can help Wilson and give him time to learn to accept other dogs?
Wilson is not very good with other dogs and needs a home as an only dog. He lived with another dog for years although has started to be dominant with the resident dog.
Wilson is in foster with an experienced fosterer with very tolerant dogs, he cannot live with a dog currently as he will play one minute and then pick a fight the next. He is out walking with a pack and is currently muzzled and is gradually leaning that he doesn’t need to bite the others and in time he will learn that he can just walk away if not sure.
We are looking for a home that is rural or not have the need to walk in busy public places and a home that understands that when he comes across other dogs he will need to be muzzled. I am sure in time he can learn to trust his owner and gain confidence with other dogs. He has shown no aggression towards me unless around another dog and then he doesn’t understand how to react. This is a recently learnt behaviour as he was living with another dog and was well socialised as a young dog.
Wilson has great recall and knows sit, down, paw etc he loves nothing better than to snuggle up for a cuddle. He is very food orientated and can be distracted with treats.
Please you must be experienced with this type of dog. We will not rehome him with other dogs or young children due to his issue.
Please apply via the forms section and we will give you a call and explain in more detail
