Monty came into foster due to his owners having to move in to accommodation that didn’t accept animals. This is his foster write up
Monty is a lovely big boy, loves a cuddle and very friendly, fully house trained no chewing issues other than soft toys and his bed, but this hasn’t happened while he has been here with his bed. Can be left for up to four hours. Loves other dogs and plays well no aggression. He did guard toys and forbidden items ie socks, slippers, but this has improved greatly with patience and swapping items for other things, ie food or squeaky toys which he loves. His recall isn’t brilliant but has improved I think the other dogs help, he was only used to being on a long lead. He is still a young dog and very bright and with some further training will make a wonderful pet. I would suggest rehoming with another dog or dogs as he has bundles of energy and loves playing. No problem with children but would suggest older children as he can play hard and still a bit protective of soft toys. No idea about cattle or horses as he hasn’t encountered any while being here, We have two dog savvy cats and he is fine with them but will chase if they run, or barks at them outside.
Monty is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead. Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation. Applications via forms section of website please.
