Max is a very typical, playful young 16 month old springer cross. He loves his cuddles, treats and tennis balls. He settled very quickly with our three spaniels & has come on a long way since arriving with us. Max, didn’t have the best start in life and has had little or no discipline. He is however a quick learner, when it suites. He would benefit from having another older dog, in an active household. He can be very clingy at times and suffers from separation issues. Toys stuffed with treats are a good distraction to overcome this, and will need building on. He now goes to the door and either barks or cries, to go outside for his toilet needs. When on walks, he can be off the lead providing he is with other known dogs, his recall is good, but will need ongoing training. Max does pull on the lead at first, but does settle down. He can walk to heel beautifully. He is inquisitive towards other dogs but does not get on with full males. He needs to be with a family, who are around for most of the time to continue and build on his training. Max has no issues with children and is ok with cats and hasn’t shown much interest in our chinchilla. He’s not a fan of horses, and barks at them until they have passed him. He travels well in the car.
Max is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead. Adoption subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation. Applications via forms section of website please.
