Indy originally came to us as his owner had sadly passed away. He was a one woman dog as his owner was disabled so he spent all day with her. This does help to explain some of his behaviour issues. Here is his foster write up .

Indy is a 6 year old black and white springer spaniel, who has been in foster for far too long and would really love to find his new home. Indy has come back into foster due to biting. However Indy is a confused boy himself, who is happy to wagg his tale while grumbling at you. He has a defensive response of grumbling and growling at requests, when under pressure or if wanting to be left alone. Indy does everything right and if you do not listen to the subtle signs to begin with he will become more vocal and will escalate his warning. Indy is like a grumpy old man, grumbling at you because you have asked him to do something, yet running away at the same time. Indy has some strong feelings towards the vets, which didn’t help when first coming into foster having had to see the vet several times. Visits to the vets for simply regular walk ins would go along way to helping Indy here. Indy would prefer to be an only dog, he is confrontational when you can be interacting with the others in the pack. More importantly he would love the one to one attention. he loves his cuddles and belly rubs, although sometimes this can be on his terms. He loves his long walks and needs the regular long exercise to continue. He would make a great flusher , gamekeepers friend or farm companion and would
love the freedom of roaming around all day. His recall is 9/10 and could be 10 if birds weren’t more important sometimes. Despite his grumpiness he really is a loving boy who just needs some time and patience. No children unfortunately but loves them.

Indy is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of website please.
